Quick Links
- Science Frontiers Digest of Scientific Anomalies
"Science Frontiers is the bimonthly newsletter providing digests of reports that describe scientific anomalies; that is, those observations and facts that challenge prevailing scientific paradigms." High weirdness.
- Offload your multimedia content and bandwidth to Amazon using PHP
"Save disk space and bandwidth, and increase the reliability of your site by using the Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) remote storage service to host your media files. You'll also improve the reliability of your site..."
- Sitening Blog : Blog Archive : Introducing PHP-AWS - Nashville SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and Web Design
"PHP-AWS is a collection of PHP classes that let you tap into the power of Amazon’s Web Services platform. This is the same codebase we used to build Basejumpr." S2, EC2, Simple Queue Service, and Mechanical Turk. Mmm.
- Amazon.com: Amazon EC2, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud, Virtual Grid Computing: Amazon Web Services
Like S3, except for processor instead of storage. You set up an image, and via web services, commission as many servers as you need for given computing tasks. It's charged by the instance-hour and by bandwidth.
- alphaWorks Services | QEDWiki | Overview
"QEDWiki is a unique Wiki framework in that it provides both Web users and developers with a single Web application framework for hosting and developing a broad range of Web 2.0 applications."
- Pipes: Rewire the web
Yahoo presents unix pipes for feeds. Mmmm.
- Bartleby.com: Great Books Online -- Encyclopedia, Dictionary, Thesaurus and hundreds more
Not _quite_ sure how I missed this -- lots of great stuff. Their reference section even includes "The Golden Bough".
